Our Projects.

Bees and other pollinators are in decline primarily because of loss and degradation of foraging and nesting habitat.  Over the last half century we have lost over 97% of our wildflower meadows to urban development and intensification of agriculture.  Pesticide usage, climate change and disease exacerbate their difficulties.

We can support bees by conserving, enhancing or restoring pollen- and nectar-rich habitat, providing suitable nesting areas, and avoiding toxic pesticide and herbicide usage in gardens, allotments, verges and green spaces.  This can simply involve doing less in your garden, leaving dandelions and clover to flower and leaving a wild area in your garden.

If you don't have a garden, even one pot of nectar-rich flowers could help keep a queen bumblebee alive and save a whole colony!
