About
At Bee Friendly Leamington, we are driven by a determination to do what we can to support biodiversity, appreciating both its innate value as well as our interdependence with nature. We aim to help and inspire individuals, schools, communities and businesses to reverse the decline of pollinators in our area by sharing knowledge, carrying out educational activities and practical habitat enhancement, as well as working with other community groups to improve biodiversity as a whole.
We aim to gain Bee Friendly Town status by the Bee Friendly Trust by summer 2024.
Project
Bees and other pollinators are in decline primarily because of loss and degradation of foraging and nesting habitat. Over the last half century we have lost over 97% of our wildflower meadows to urban development and intensification of agriculture. Pesticide usage, climate change and disease exacerbate their difficulties.
Donate
Would you like to be involved, but don't have the time. You might like to consider making a one-off donation to Bee Friendly Leamington, with a choice of directing this towards conservation education in schools, or habitat restoration/enhancement, or even Bee Friendly flower displays about town.
Please note, we are all volunteers, so all money is directed to habitat creation/enhancement and conservation education activities.

Are you a school? We run bee conservation assemblies in schools and can support practical conservation sessions.
